Inspiring future generations with a heartfelt, ageless story of family and sacrifice.
The Ocean is dying and it’s our fault...
In the past 10 years, humanity has created more plastic than in the last century alone.
There is an estimated 75 to 199 million tons of plastic waste currently in our oceans, with a further 33 billion pounds of plastic entering the marine environment every single year.
As a direct result, 100 million marine animals die each year from plastic waste alone.
By 2050, the pollution of fish will be outnumbered by our dumped plastic.
Meet Ava & Leche
Ava & Leche is a children’s book where we follow two bottlenose dolphins through a heartfelt and ageless story of family and sacrifice.
The Story
Ava, and her young calf, Leche embark on Leche’s first hunt. Unfortunately, his excitement and newfound level of independence are hampered by human-created obstacles such as bleached coral reefs, overfishing and plastic pollution
The Objective
We are aiming to educate children through a children’s book but also to entertain society at large with a heartfelt, ageless story of family and sacrifice through a high-quality animated film.
What next?
Ava & Leche is a work in progress. Following the publication of the Children's Book, we are looking to progress the project from paper to screens through an animated film
Ava & Leche has been a passion project since the start. After being in education for several years, I knew that teaching future generations how to treat our planet was a key part in helping our Oceans to thrive.
